Jaipur to Delhi by taxi: road trip planning guide
Around 280 km of highway separates Jaipur and Delhi. With the right departure time and a few practical checks, the drive is comfortable and predictable.
The route in brief
Most taxis take NH48 through Shahpura, Kotputli, Behror and Neemrana before entering Haryana and reaching Gurugram. From some parts of Jaipur, drivers may use the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway via Dausa instead. Your driver will pick the better option for your pickup point and the traffic on the day. Expect around 5 to 6 hours door to door.
When to leave
- Early morning (5–7 am): the smoothest drive, reaching Delhi before the worst of the city traffic.
- Late morning: fine for hotel drops, but expect slower traffic around Gurugram in the afternoon.
- Evening: workable, but Delhi’s evening rush can add an hour or more near the city.
Timing a Delhi Airport (IGI) drop
For a flight from IGI, plan to leave Jaipur at least 7 hours before departure. That covers the drive, possible slowdowns near Gurugram and the recommended check-in time. For international flights, add more time. Share your flight time and terminal when booking so we can plan the departure with you.
Tip: If your flight is very early, consider leaving the evening before and staying near the airport. It is often less tiring than an overnight drive.
Halfway stops
Highway dhabas and food courts around Behror and Neemrana make a good break about halfway. Neemrana Fort-Palace is nearby if you want a longer stop. Agree on planned stops before you leave so the timing works for everyone.

- Exact pickup address in Jaipur and exact drop address in Delhi NCR (Delhi, Gurugram or Noida)
- Number of passengers and large bags
- Whether tolls, state taxes and parking are included in the fare
- Any planned stops or detours
